I have been working with Maryan on math since my freshman year of high school. Not only has she helped me get straight A’s in my math classes and helped me get into my school’s math honor society, but she got rid of my fear of solving difficult math equations and gave me more confidence with my basic math skills. Maryan also helped me tremendously with my college essays. She helped me expand my ideas, so I could put my thoughts onto paper. She made conquering high school much easier, and I am incredibly thankful for her.

I had the pleasure of working with Maryan for seven months. I sought her out for math tutoring as a high school senior who was struggling in Calculus AB. Maryan's expertise helped me tremendously, and I do not think I would have passed the class without her intervention during my first semester. Building off of this foundation, I started out my second semester stronger and did well on tests. In addition, she works hard to be accessible even outside of the session. Maryan's commitment to her students and patience is unbelievable. Students are under a lot of pressure, but knowing I had someone like Maryan in my corner was invaluable.

My adventure began here. Clueless about the process of applying to college, I was directed to Vision to Reality where I found the perfect people to guide me. Through expert discussions, I realized my personality strengths; through patient hours of writing and collaborative editing, I reinforced my voice. Vision to Reality became the boost I needed. They helped me match my compatibilities with colleges, brainstorm around tricky college prompts, utilize my assets to let my character flourish, and ultimately, develop a brighter confidence.

Now, my journey didn’t end there. When I began flailing in Calculus, they swooped in to catch me. Each lesson provided clarity on difficult problems, useful tricks for the future, and help with topics I struggled in.

Math has always been a struggle for me since I have trouble comprehending and grasping the subject. However, I am forever grateful to Ms. Kang for how much she has helped me over the years. When I can’t understand things, she works hard to find a way for me to catch the concept by explaining it in different ways until I understand. We have a great student/teacher relationship; she is so kind and understanding. I don’t know what I would do without her.
